Americarts Location

NORFOLK, Neb. (July 25, 2022)—A new, Nebraska-founded business, Americarts, announced today that it has reached a purchase agreement for a Norfolk-area property for the purposes of building a first-of-its-kind, family-friendly Go Kart track and entertainment complex. Americarts is launching its capital campaign to meet its target opening date, November 2023.

Americarts representatives signed the purchase agreement late last week with the owners of the Nebraska Livestock Sales LLC of Norfolk located at 1601 South 1st Street.  Plans call for a 120,000-square-foot Family Entertainment Center to be built on the property.

“We are so pleased to announce this important step in the process of making the Americarts vision come to life right here in Norfolk,” said Stephanie Goodrich, co-founder of Americarts.  “Our team is excited about moving this community-focused project forward and providing one of the most unique family entertainment experiences anywhere in the Midwest.”

Plans call for demolition and site-prep work on the sales barn property to start this fall, with construction of the new building starting in the Spring of 2023.

Americarts officials today also launched a capital campaign called The Americarts Founder’s Circle. Officials said that joining the Founder’s Circle provides a variety of benefits, which include a limited edition leather keychain created by Golden West Handcrafts of Norfolk, a personalized plaque to be installed on the Americarts Founder’s Wall, exclusive invitations to events at the Sales Barn prior to demolition, 30 days of  early access to the Americarts Family Entertainment Center before its public grand opening, priority and early booking for kids parties and corporate events, and 10% off food and beverage for life! People will be able to purchase their Founder’s Circle membership until September 20th, 2022. The fastest and easiest way to purchase a membership is to go to www.AmericartsNebraska.com. The priority booking for parties and corporate events is based on the date of membership. The sooner members sign up, the greater the selection will be for dates and party room options. The Americarts team will be selling memberships at a variety of in-person, community events too, until September 20th, 2022.

Once construction is complete, the Americarts Family Entertainment Center will feature three different Go Kart tracks, including a multi-level track with karts racing up to 40 miles per hour; an 8,000-square foot roller rink; an inflatable park; bumper cars; outdoor movie space; arcade games and more!  A restaurant and a full bar are also planned.  Accessibility will be emphasized in the design of the attractions and within the entertainment center infrastructure itself, allowing for use by people of all ages and those who experience disabilities.  Facilities, on-site activities, and the go-karts themselves will all be accessible.
